The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Scope of Position/ Day to Day
Responsibilities:
The Business Unit IT (BUIT) SAP Analyst role is required to help manage Optical Communications (OC) portfolio of SAP projects. The primary responsibility is to work with the OC Enterprise Business Solutions(EBS) process owners to identify potential projects, prioritize projects in the portfolio, and work with IT Service Delivery (ITSD) to ensure successful implementation.
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze OCs Global SAP Supply Chain processes
Define key capabilities that will enable the business strategy
Develop and manage a prioritized list of system enhancements and improvement projects.
Help business prioritize projects by assessing the value to the business.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (within OC business and ITSD) and global SAP experts.
Gather business requirements and translate them into detailed functional requirements.
Work with ITSD to initiate and implement projects that will enable the business strategy
Ensure OC Supply Chain IT systems are operating effectively.
Drive process standardization
Work with ITSD and managed services partners to ensure SAP best practices are followed.
Balance demands between an immediate fix and a sustainable long term process.
Ensure projects adhere to EBS and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
Travel Requirements: Limited travel, potential for some international trips.
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: Full-time
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree, Preference for Engineering degree
Required Years and Area of
Experience:
10 year professional work experience.
5 years experience with SAP.
Required Skills:
General SAP ECC 6.0 knowledge and experience
Good written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills
English language skills required

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
