The Field Sales Associate is responsible for engaging in lead generation activities that result in viable new sales opportunities within designated regions.

Directly responsible for delivering on lead generation goals and key performance indicator targets (KPI's) within designated regions. Prioritizes opportunities based upon profitability and customer timelines.
Effectively leverages the Omnicare Value Proposition to capture viable leads. Develops initial relationships with prospects in order to create a viable lead.
Generates leads through a combination of networking, web-inquiries, onsite visits, appointments, and cold calling. Creates a solid first impression of Omnicare services and solutions.
Tracks lead opportunities resulting from marketing campaigns. Takes appropriate steps to review and report campaign effectiveness and takes appropriate action to follow-up on opportunities.
Establishes appointments for Sales Directors and Associate Sales Directors. Ensures a seamless handoff between lead generation and onsite appointment.
Consistently and effectively utilizes the customer relationship management system and available marketing and sales effectiveness tools and resources.
Regularly contributes to the overall effectiveness of the entire market-based team. This includes regularly collaborating and communicating with Sales Directors, Associate Sales Directors, Inside Sales or other key stakeholders.
Actively participates in pipeline reviews and discussions with direct manager and other key stakeholders.
Regularly assesses risks and opportunities and partners with Sales Director to create appropriate action plans. Maintains an ongoing knowledge of competitive threats and regularly shares this information with others in order to proactively maintain market leadership status.
May assist Sales Directors or Associate Sales Directors with the in preparation of proposals and presentations.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies to foster continued growth and knowledge of the Long Term Care industry
May participate in Trade Shows, Conventions, and other industry programs. Actively sources leads through these opportunities. Documents and manages all follow-up activities.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales/Marketing or related field preferred
Demonstrated prior experience in sales - either inside sales or field sales.
Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
Strong analytic skills and solid business acumen
Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must be willing to travel up to 50%
Must have a working knowledge of computers in a Windows/Microsoft Office environment, including Word, Excel and Power Point. Experience with preferred.
Physical Demands:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
