Our Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the team runs at their maximum productivity level. He or she will play a vital role in ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the business run smoothly.
The main responsibilities include daily oversight of production and quality, preparing budgets and inventories and overseeing the supervision of employees. The Operations Manager is expected to harness a working environment which encourages team work, energy and creativity. The individual should have strong leadership and excellent problem solving skills along with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
Direct warehouse activities with regards to the quality production and distribution of wooden shipping containers
Manage a team of 20 employees and prepare work schedules, assigning specific duties
Ensure safety regulations and compliance and provide motivating incentives for employees
Review plans, strategy and implementations with the President of Sales
Provide activity reports and other performance data measuring productivity and goal achievement
Determine areas for improvement with regards to program management and cost reduction
Monitor customers/clients and ensure efficient
effective services are provided - remain within budgetary limits.
Manage the movement of goods into and out of production and assembly areas
Qualifications
Strong Leadership and Management experience in a fast-paced, get-it-done environment
Excellent Problem-Solving Capabilities and Communication Skills
Must be willing to challenge/debate issues of importance with persuasive facts/details
Must review and see situations / concerns across multiple points of view
Requirements
Prior Industrial woodworking and packaging experience
Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards within a diverse workplace
Budget Development, Maintenance and Oversight
Effective organizational and operations management skills with a background successfully implementing best practices and utilizing a collaborative leadership style
Business Acumen with regards to MS Office Suites and other software applications as related to the warehousing distribution and logistics industriesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
