Curriculum Developer Job Responsibilities
The Curriculum Developer is responsible for designing and developing Corning Optical Communications curricula and content to support both internal and external Enterprise Networks training initiatives to increase the effectiveness of sales and marketing efforts. The following are required tasks for this position.
Develop training materials from conception to implementation including: syllabi, presentations, student guides, blended-learning tools, assessments and other content related tools.
Work cross-functionally with other workgroups to develop most effective materials ensuring commonality of curricula for all disciplines.
Engage with content providers outside the program to ensure proper prioritization of work flow, track the progress of all content input and publish reports to management on progress of projects.
Ensure training materials and programs are effective and relevant.
Create and maintain a process for evaluating, updating and improving course materials and content delivery tools.
Create and maintain a shared content library and processes around the sharing, management and archival system of the library.
Monitor product introductions, product changes and commercial marketing strategies to continuously modify course content to support product marketing objectives.
Responsible for staying current on Corning Optical Communications products and solutions and the fiber optic technology trends as well as maintains certifications and knowledge base to identify and deliver most up-to-date relevant content based on training needs.
Educate and train team as needed on content and curriculum updates.
Develop and enact control measures to ensure all operations remain cost effective and meet program objectives.
Maintain and keep in compliant any compliancy and/or accreditations required for the management of the program (i.e. BICSI , ETA, FOA)
Curriculum Developer Skills Required to be considered:
Minimum of 3 years in a facilitation/training experience and knowledge of adult-learning and assessment techniques/methodologies.
Minimum of 3 years experience as a fiber optic instructor with experience teaching Corning products and technology.
Previous experience in developing technology tech/support curricula preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrates the ability to get results through others by employing strong interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or presentation development applications.
Ability to assist in trainer development, overall trainer quality and coaching
Excellent technical writing and verbal skills required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
