6K a year SUMMARY Claims assistant will evaluate supporting documentation for the completion of freight claims and determination of liability.
While working in an office setting, they will be responsible for entering claims a web-based claims system, upkeep of the files related to claims, reporting and other office work.
This is a position that requires a high use of multi-tasking, critical thinking and customer service skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Review and analyze claims Enter new claim data in system and disseminate claims to the appropriate Acts as liaison between customer, consignees and carriers Handle claim functions; post salvage amendments, acknowledgments and declinations in system Responsible for answering calls and assisting customers who receive product damage Maintain open and closed claim files in accordance to record retention policy Performs other duties as assigned.
WORK SCHEDULE This is a Monday - Friday 1st shift position.
The start of the day varies from 8:
00 am to 5:
00 pm.
Occasional mandatory overtime and/or weekend work may be required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
