The global Finance Function acts as a proactive business partner, advising and making recommendations based upon financial projections and historical performance. Finance also provides financial expertise companywide and ensures accurate and efficient transaction processing.
Position Description:
Strategic advisor and business partner to the Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Optical Communications and member of leadership team of Optical Commercial Operations (OCO).
Set direction of OCO finance function. Hire, motivate, develop, and retain financial talent to ensure the function and division has the right talent to meet its objectives.
Design and drive continuous improvement in OCO finance processes, procedures, and financial metrics.
Serve as a bridge between OCO and the other two divisions (OCS and OFC) as well as OC finance function to ensure division requirements to reinforce alignment between functional and division goals and strategies.
Work closely with OCO leadership team and OCS and OFC finance to develop monthly forecast, annual plan, and five year strategic plan. Monitor results in comparison to forecasts and plans and advises corrective actions as necessary. Work with OFC and OCS to ensure that appropriate capacity available to achieve demand plan.
Work as part of OCO leadership team to drive growth for COC:
& Provide financial leadership for M&A activities, including: financial evaluation of potential targets, investment justification, financial due diligence, and financial integration.
& Provide decision support for strategy development, pricing decisions, cost reduction actions, resource expansions and other strategic investment, acquisitions and divestitures, and other key business activities.
& Provide financial oversight for large customer contracts and complex deal structures
Clearly communicate the financial results of the OCO and division to OCO and division leadership in a manner that enables understanding and drives action where appropriate.
Prepare presentations and provides financial analysis for the OCO staff and leadership reviews
Assist in quarterly earnings release and preparation, performance reviews, OpComm and leadership team presentations, and other ad hoc reviews.
Supervise the commercial aspect of the monthly closing process and preparation of the divisions financial statements to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and consistency of reporting with US GAAP, statutory and tax accounting requirements.
Implement and ensure OCO adherence to internal finance controls including data and reporting standards and compliance procedures (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, internal, and external audits).

Education &
Experience:
15-20
years of global financial and business partnership leadership experience
CPA or other equivalent certification desired
Strong relevant academic credentials; ideally BS or equivalent with concentration in accounting or finance.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
