The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
The TBG Connectivity Reporting Tech. Lead/Business Analyst role will be responsible for working with business leaders and users as well as IT resources to define, develop, implement and support standardized reporting solutions across a global environment.
Key
Responsibilities:
Maintain close relationships with business personnel in order to understand changing business requirements and drive adoption of standard reporting practices.
Collaborate with business users to define requirements that meet business needs while adhering to global standards and practices.
Create specifications for developers to use as direction for development.
Create proof-of-concepts as well as production functionality.
Provide first and second line technical support to users and developers.
Manage priorities of request items submitted through multiple facilities across the globe.
Travel Requirements:
This role may require occasional travel to international sites such as Poland, Mexico and Australia. Travel will primarily be related to project design or implementation periods.
Required Skills:
This position does require US citizenship or green card holder due to ITAR restrictions
Experience using Microsoft SQL server Business Intelligence Development Studio.
Ability to analysis, design, develop, implement and maintain global reporting systems for manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems and process.
Experience working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
2 years of experience with Microsoft .NET development environment.
Experience driving business users to adopt standard practices.
Experience in driving and delivering new capabilities to improve business unit operations that are in keeping with established standards and the overall IT strategic direction.
Desired Skills:
Strong communication, presentation, organizational, facilitation and negotiation skills (including ability to translate between business and technology needs).
Industry-recognized certification such as Microsoft or Apex certification.
Proven track record of implementing IT solutions that meet business demands and are technically sound.
Knowledge of project life cycle methodologies.
Ability to continuously prioritize and multitask efficiently.
Ability to influence decisions with critical thinking based upon experience and understanding of the strategic intent of the project.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
